I will forever thank ETIV for the amazing experience it has granted me. My time in Itacare with ETIV was eye opening and unforgettable. I was part of the English program and I loved how I was able to freely teach the students what interested me (but also kept within the ETIV guidelines). There were resources that were available if needed help with the projects I was working on.

I also enjoyed that I was not confined to one particular program. I would work with the students on English activities twice a week and also was able to teach private English lessons as well.

Alondra, Jaci and Leo were all super welcoming and helpful with my transition to living in Brazil.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/svg><\/div><\/div>

ETIV is a wonderful organisation. I was a volunteer there for only three months and it was a very unique experience. Due to the COVID-19 crisis I was only able to participate in the youth development projects with the kids for a week, since I arrived there early in the pandemic. However, during this period I had the opportunity to see the NGO's involvement with the community and the children, who were very fond of the volunteers and the projects. Despite the pandemic, which even reduced our team, we still worked hard in order to maintain and improve the activities for the future, which was incredibly easy under the leadership of Jaci, director and founder of the NGO, who is very engaged in the projects and always keeps a positive mind.

A ETIV \u00e9 uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o maravilhosa. Eu fui volunt\u00e1ria l\u00e1 por apenas tr\u00eas meses e foi uma experi\u00eancia muito \u00fanica. Devido \u00e0 crise do COVID-19 eu s\u00f3 pude participar dos projetos de desenvolvimento juvenil com as crian\u00e7as por uma semana, uma vez que eu cheguei logo no come\u00e7o da pandemia. Entretanto, nesse per\u00edodo tive a oportunidade de ver o envolvimento da ONG com a comunidade e com as crian\u00e7as, que tinham muito carinho pelos volunt\u00e1rios e pelos projetos. Apesar da pandemia, que inclusive reduziu a nossa equipe, ainda trabalhamos muito com o intuito de manter e aprimorar as atividades para o futuro, o que foi incrivelmente f\u00e1cil sob a lideran\u00e7a da Jaci, diretora e fundadora da ONG, que \u00e9 muito engajada nos projetos e sempre mant\u00e9m uma mente positiva.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/svg><\/div><\/div>

My volunteer experience with ETIV do Brasil was truly a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. I volunteered with ETIV in Itacare, Bahia, Brasil from May 2018 to August 2018 and would have stayed even longer if I could! Itacare is a tropical paradise and the community is very welcoming. The kids are adorable and there is a positive energy all around. Jaci, ETIV do Brasil's director, is an amazing person and you can truly feel her love and passion for what she is doing. I would recommend volunteering with ETIV do Brasil to anyone looking for a positive, fun, and fulfilling volunteer experience in a beautiful setting.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/svg><\/div><\/div>

Why just travel if you can volunteer in paradise?

ETIV do Brasil is based in the fishing and surfing town of Itacar\u00e9 in northeastern Brazil. Truly paradise. Volunteer opportunities include everything from environmental conservation to teaching English to marketing to administrative support. Take 1-6 months of your life and go for it!<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/svg><\/div><\/div><\/div>
